Skippy Summer
"Being DEAF is about HEARING with your EYES."
Skippy pursued studies in Business Management at Gallaudet University, a prestigious private college in Washington, DC, serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. He also explored Political Science at Ohlone College in Fremont and delved into Architecture at Fresno City College in Fresno, gaining valuable insights and perspectives from each institution before stepping away due to financial and personal circumstances. Outside of work, Skippy enjoys listening to music, tackling handyman projects, and exploring hiking trails with his girlfriend, Tess, and their two beloved dogs, a German Shepherd and a Siberian Husky. A tech enthusiast and an avid, die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, he brings passion and versatility to every aspect of his life.
With over 26 years of experience as an Outreach Specialist in the state of California, Skippy has devoted his career to supporting individuals with diverse disabilities. Now, as an Employment Specialist at AEG, he is enthusiastic about helping ASL Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals navigate their career journeys, providing guidance and resources to empower them in achieving their professional goals. Skippy’s extensive experience, combined with his passion for advocacy, makes him a valuable asset to the team and a trusted resource for clients seeking meaningful employment opportunities.
